Sucden Financial has hired industry expert Rafael Caporale as Head of LME Options Market Making, forming a new division within the firm.
Caporale will be responsible for establishing and running a dedicated options trading team, targeting clients looking for liquidity in LME options. He will be drawing on internal expertise and experience.
Caporale started his career in 2004 at Bache Commodities and began managing their options book in 2006. Following the acquisition of Bache by Jefferies and onward sale to Société Générale, Caporale was retained as Head of Metals Options Trading and Deputy Head of Metals Trading, until their withdrawal from OTC commodities in Q2 2019.
Deputy CEO Marc Bailey commented; “Rafael is very well-regarded within the market and has a proven track record in LME options, making him the ideal candidate to further enhance Sucden Financial’s portfolio of services and underlines the firm’s commitment to LME trading.”
Caporale commented; “Having worked with Sucden Financial as a counterparty for many years, I am now very excited to be a part of the family and be able to combine my market expertise in options with their extensive customer base. Together, these elements will make for a very successful mix both for the company and our clients.”
