Corporate Responsibility
A responsible approach
The way we behave as a company is fundamentally important to us. We take our obligations and position in society very seriously, with commitments that cover four key areas below:
Business practices
Conducting business with high levels of integrity, accountability and responsibility is essential for all our stakeholders, and we always aim to operate in line with our values. We have specialist teams and functions to safeguard the firm and our stakeholders. They ensure we comply fully with all relevant regulations, and provide a reliable, trustworthy, transparent and consistent service for our clients and other stakeholders.
People
Our people are central to the ongoing success of our business. We commit to providing a safe working environment, and ensuring our staff and all the people we interact with are treated with dignity and respect.
We recruit highly motivated people who work with enthusiasm and commitment, and we expect all employees to work to high standards of integrity and ethical behaviour. In return we provide our staff with a variety of benefits to help them maintain a healthy lifestyle and work-life balance.
Community
We support good causes and the welfare of our wider community with fundraising initiatives throughout the year. In 2023 we established The Sucden Financial Community Fund in partnership with the East End Community Foundation (EECF) to respond to some of the pressing challenges faced by those most vulnerable around us.
As a whole, the Sucden Group donated $3.8 million to charities and good causes in 2023.
Environment
Although our activities are primarily office-based, we understand we can still play a role in protecting the environment. We know small changes can collectively make a big difference. Whether it is minimising wastage and single-use plastics in the office, investing in lower energy systems, or digitising workflows, we look to continually improve our efficiency and minimise our environmental impact.
