Supporting Local Communities

Life Chances Campaign
As part of Sucden Financial’s commitment to supporting the welfare of our wider community, we have partnered with the East End Community Foundation (EECF) to support grassroots groups in Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Newham and the City.
Following the success of the Sucden Financial Community Fund with the EECF, which raised over £70,000 to fund projects in East London, we are now working with the EECF’s Life Chances Campaign.
Since 2021, the Life Chances Campaign has provided a long-term, joined-up approach to addressing poverty, bringing together over £2.4m in investment to help with mental health, skills, and employment for young people, digital exclusion and pensioner poverty.
As the EECF marks its 35th anniversary, it aims to double the Campaign’s impact and raise a further £4 million between 2025 and 2028. Sucden Financial is proud to be working with the EECF and other partners to achieve:
- 9,000 children & young people supported with improved mental health and wellbeing.
- 700 young people supported to gain qualifications and 500 into employment.
- 1,000 older people getting over £3m+ in additional benefits.
- Over 1,500 children and families equipped with digital devices, training and connections.
We connect different groups – such as our parent company Sucden, employees, trading partners and clients – so each can contribute to making a difference in our East London communities. Volunteering opportunities and individual fundraising challenges are organised throughout the year for our stakeholders to get directly involved.
The East End Community Foundation
EECF is part of the UK Community Foundation network and is the leading charitable foundation and funder in East London. It allocates grants to grassroots charities in the boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Newham, and the City of London - some of the most deprived local authorities in the UK.
EECF has raised and distributed more than £30m to support communities in East London since 1990.
